8/16ers - 23 week check in!
Hey Judy,
You and I are still on that slow boat to weight loss, I guess. I haven't lost much since November....only about 10 more pounds or so, I guess. Anyway, I got on the scales one day this week, and I had lost 70 pounds! I was thrilled!
But, this morning, I was back up a couple of pounds. Overall, I have been pleased, but it is disappointing that the weight is coming off so slowly!
I did wear a skirt last week that was way too big----it fit fine in early December! So, I know I am losing inches....and even my hair loss has slowed down a bit.
I feel good. Strong and healthy. I've started doing stomach crunches with a big exercise ball, in addition to my regular Curves workouts, to help tone my lower abdomen. Some folks have 6-pack abs....I still have 2 liter abs! LOL
That's one area I can't WAIT to lose in!
I'll pray that you can get control over your eating----and you keep me in your prayers too! This journey was never meant to be easy! We need each other to reach our goals!
Good luck to you!

I noticed that all of you are women and probably didn't weigh as much to begin with but my husband has lost a total of 162 pounds since surgery on August 16th. He looks and feels so much better physically but is still emotionally maladjusted. He starts therapy on Monday the 31st and I hope they will be able to help him. He is so negative about everything and always has been. I used to attribute his problems to his weight but now that that is under control I see that it was more than that. Anyway I wish you all luck in your loss.
