hello, my name is Sheila and I had my surgery on 8/31/04. I was 387 and tomarrow I weigh but, last Friday I weighed 294. a total of 84 lbs so far. I think you are doing great! I was wondering if your Dr. might have given you a weight number of what you might weigh when you loose all your weight? I never got told anything really and I am kinda wondering what I might weigh. I am only 5'5" tall. I would like to get in the 100's if I can. Sheila

Hi Lynn, What's to question? You've lost nearly 100 pounds in less than 6 months!!! That is incredible! We are all so different and unique, it really isn't fair to compare our weight losses. As long as we are eating as our surgeons have told us to and we are exercising regularly, we are on the right track. Our ages, starting BMI's, health levels, body-types all vary. So does our weight loss. Let's just all celebrate our successes and be happy for each other without comparing. You are doing soooo fantastic!!! I am thrilled for you!! Polly

Lynn- It sounds like you are doing great!!! I had surg. on 8-11-04. I had complications though... I have not been able to exercise much, but work full time as a nurse. I went from 446/ 315 so far. I have a long ways to go. I am like you, I see others post their wt. loss and wondering how I am really doing!! Keep it up. Doing great... Barb
