Hi, friends! Glad to see everyone's doing well. Here's my stats: Surgery date: 8/03/04 Height: 5'3" Start weight: 277 Current weight: 184 Start size: 26-28 Current size: L-XL tops, 18 regular or 16W pants (some stretchy 14s) Eating: Protein, protein, protein. Pork chops, chicken, beef--if it isn't able to outrun me, I eat it! Milk, pasta, breads give me gas so I have these only rarely. I had a piece of pizza and some diet caffeine free pop this weekend and it felt so good and normal. Hubby says I eat like a skinny woman now--"Dessert? No thanks. I'm too full. Can I get a to-go box?" Life is soooooo good right now. -joanne s Loving my DS every day.

Hi Kristy! Just wanted to say that you are doing great! I noticed we are the same height, and pretty much the same weight! I just weighed in at 155 lbs! It is weird to see how people can have the same stats but have different sizes. You started at size 26 and now are in an 8/10? That is awesome! I started at size 22/24 (even some 20's) and am in a 12 right now. I do have one size 10 skirt that fits, but my other size 10 stuff is still too tight at this point. Just wanted to say congrats and even though I didn't have surgery on 8/3, I want to take part in this survey! LOL Surgery date: 8/11/04 Height: 5'3 Start weight: day of surgery 232 lbs (was higher when I started the program) Current weight: 155 lbs Start size: 22/24 Current size: 12 How you're doing with eating: No problems to speak of! I can tolerate red meat, chicken, yogurt, salads, etc. with no issues at all. I am getting in on average, 3 ounces of protein per meal. I do have some issues with snacking, but it isn't too out of control. My next goal is to stay on a regular exercise program. I renewed my membership to a fitness center and have gone once in the past week. I need to get motivated!!!! Hugs, Denise

First let me say that I've been on the main message board (on and off) since the surgery and never knew there was a board for people who had surgery during the same month. So glad to have found you all! Hope to be on this board more often. O.K. Here goes... Surgery Date: 8/5/04 Height: 5'8" Start Weight: 275 Current Weight: 189 Starting Size: 26 Current Size: 16W bottoms, XL top How am I doing with eating: Well, that's a tough one to answer. Not good about getting my protein in. Best I can do is I have some nuts and cheese every day (love laughing cow) which goes down well. I also do well with ground beef. Chicken causes probelms for me. Also found that cookies and chips go down without a problem. Really scary! Interestingly, having been a Diet Coke fanatic (and I mean addicted) I decided to try a sip on New Years to see if I could handle it. The good news is it tasted like crap. Worst thing I had ever tasted. Isn't that strange? I definitely find that sometimes things agree with me and sometimes they don't.

Congrats to one and all!!! Surgery date: 8/3/04 Height: 5'5" Start Weight: 271 Current: 187 Starting size:26/28 Current:mostly 16s, 14 stretchy How am I doing with eating? I know what not to eat, anything fried! No garlic, some days no chicken. Not tried any thing with sugar, FEAR!!!! Never ate beef prior to wls, now it seems to taste good, goes down well and stays with me. Have tried a bite or two of baked potato, pasta, bread and rice. One or two bites was enough. I could live off Wendy's chili!
