sagging skin

I am a little alarmed at the excess skin I am experiencing. I have recently bought the Rejoice lotion (SO expensive) to put on my belly, legs, upper arms and face. It is definitely making my skin softer, and I think it is helping a little. I really don't want to even think about plastic surgery, but I can't imagine living like this forever. Luckily, I don't have to consider any more surgery for at least another year and a half. I am also suffering a bit of chaffing under the skin. Yuck. Karen

Hi Karen! I too live in Indy and we had our surgery's within a day of each other! I too am experiencing the sagging skin, but I can't wait to have a tummy tuck and a breast lift! It will be another 6-8 months, but I can't wait. I know sounds funny that I can't wait for more surgery, but I can't wait for the results. I heard that all the cream in the world won't help, it has a lot to do with your genes and how long you have been overweight. Good luck with it though. If it works, let me know. Talk to you soon! Hi Karen! I have a few questions for you.... Where do you buy that cream? Will it work on facial wrinkles? (my "ex-double chin" is showing signs of wrinkles! LOL) Does it help with skin (like abdomen area) that had alot of stretch marks on it? Thanks for all the info! *~Amber~*

Karen: Are you getting regular exercise? That makes a huge difference in the skin sagging. I have been SHOCKED (even at age 40) at how very little I have sagged, and I have lost quite a lot of inches. I expected lower elasticity and more sag, but my skin quality has been excellent, and I have noticed that the exercise has really helped with my muscle tone and overall body look. I'm not at goal by any means, but I feel that I'm on my way to looking really good in the next year! My favorite lotion is the Oil of Olay with factor 30 sunscreen. I use it on my face and neck each day, under my makeup. I use a regular (cheap) hand lotion on the rest of my body. I am not sure if expensive lotions and creams really make a big difference with sagging skin. Lotions only penetrate a few cells down in the layers of skin. Sagging skin is caused from within the body. I think the only thing that this lotion could do would be to plump and moisten the outer layers of skin cells and possibly keep you from wrinkling on the surface of the skin. If you're not already in a regular exercise program (i.e. Curves for Women), get in one very soon! You'll feel so much better---and you'll never regret it! I bet you'll notice a difference in your sagging too! You may not be able to avoid some sag, but there should be less of it! Good luck with your journey! ~Laura
