8/23- 22 week check-in!!!
Hey Amber,
I am at 100 lbs also. I went from 337 to 237 and I couldn't be happier with my progress so far. I have learned that I am truly in control of my weightloss. Some weeks I don't work out or I eat carbs and I won't really loose. Then the next week I will get in gear and will loose 7 lbs. I have never really counted calories or protein because I generally know what foods are high in calories and what aren't and my protein levels are always good in my labs so I just eat meat first at every meal. I have also noticed that at some meals I takes me awhile to get full and at others I am full after three bites. I am feeling good about this whole journey.
Much Love,
Shelli
I am had surgery on 8/20, so I hope you don't mind me crashing the party.
I have lost 77 lbs since surgery. I started at 240 lbs and now I am at 163lbs. I am 30 lbs from goal, but I can already see things slowing down.
I started the YMCA last week, so I hope that the exercise will help the weight loss get started again.
I eat approx. 800 cals a day and get 60-90 grams of protein.
Take care.
Alicia
Hi Amber and a big CONGRATULAIONS !!! to you. I just weighed in this am and down 82lbs. at my heaviest i was at 289 & now 208, I cant tell you the last time I was under 200, but its so close to reality. This has been the best thing I have ever done for myself, went to my 2nd. aerobics class this evening and I could almost keep up. Keep up the good work and keep us posted. Thanks Becky open rny 8/23
Wow!!! Congrats, Becky!
And good going on the aerobics class. I can't do that just yet. I am doing the Walk Away the Pounds videos, and I do some resistance training and deep water running at the Rec Center here in VA Beach.
I am 2 pounds away from 399, my next goal! LOL
Good luck on your way to 199, chica!!!!

Amber,
So far I've lost 65 pounds and quite a few inches!! I'm happy with the way things are going but, it seems that I have quite a few stretches with no loss at all. Then BOOM I'll weigh after taking a week or two break from it and I'll have a -3-5 pound surprise.
I've been bad for the past few weeks and I'm not really counting calories or wellllll anything at all. I do get my water and vits in and I think that's very important. I just got sooooo sick and tired of keeping track of things number wise. I'm going to get back on the wagon and start keeping track of things better.

Kelli... I know what you mean about getting tired of counting this and that! Especially protein. But I only do an inventory once a week. I take one day and analize everything I ate that day. It is usually a reflection of how I ate all week.
But anyways, CONGRATS on the weight loss!!! You are doing awesome!
I get those plateaus too. I just came off of a 4 week plateau myself!
Keep on working hard and we'll make it there together!

Hi Amber,
I as of this morning I am down 94 pounds! In the last year I have dropped a total of 131 pounds. My starting weight was 382. The morning of surgery I was at 345. I feel great. I was just laid off so now I am doing the at home mom thing for a while. I got two work outs in today. The only problem I have still having is my hair falling out. I eat a ton of protien everyday. It is just still falling out by the hand full. I have alot of hair so it hasn't made me bald yet thank goodness. My goal is 170 I am finally down to 251. 81 more to go. My husband feels as if he has won the jackpot. I have never been this size since he has known me. He is awesome. I am wearing a size 22 in pants and a 2xl in shirts. I haven't worn this size clothing since high school. Which 2006 will be my 10 year reunion. I plan on going back and looking fabulous. Everyone seems to be doing great. Keep up the good work.
Jonita
Hi Jonita!
I saw your pictures on your profile and you look AWESOME!!!! What a difference! I hope I look that good one day!
My hair is falling out, too. I am taking Biotin and using Nioxin hair products. They don't stop the hair loss, but since I started it, alot of my hair is growing back.
My hubby is happy, too, if you know what I mean!
Good luck with the next 80 pounds and enjoy being home with your kids!!!

Here's a shout-out to the banders sharing this anniversary date.
I have lost about 60 pounds as of today. I haven't set a goal weight, I plan to do that on Feb. 14.
I eat about 1900 calories a day and shot for 80 grams of protein per day. I have new appreciated for chicken, cheese, dried beans and homemade chili.
I'm feeling some flu-like symptons today, but I hope to shake those soon and be on the road to wellness.
Cheers to all of you celebrating on this day.
