Feeling like a failure.....
I have only lost like 3 lbs back and forth since Dec. 17. My last loss was huge, 10 lbs in 10 days from Dec 7-17. Since, I have bounced around from 227-224 every other day.
Today I am 223.5. Dont know if that means anything, but please give me some positive thoughts that I will start dropping. My goal was to be 215 by the time I went back to work Feb. 1. Do i still have a chance?
Thanks!
I have had the same experience almost every month. Try and keep track of your weight and record the date you weigh. Then when you are feeling discouraged, look back and see what your weight was 30 days ago. Our bodies don't always lose the way we want them to. (You may have to remind me of this the next time I go through this!!)

Well if it helps any, I'm going through the same thing.
Since Thanksgiving I have been bouncing around about 5 lbs. Sunday I was at 188 and today I'm back up to 191.5.
I think we need to stay off the scales. I have become obsessed with them. My daughter says she is going to hide them from me and only bring them out once a week. I think I need her to do that.
Good Luck! I'm sure you'll meet your goal

Hi there! I gained 8 lbs. over the holidays, from too much carbs and salt, lack of water, and not eating my protein, plus NO exercise. I don't know what you have been doing but I can tell you what I have. After the holdiays were over, I really got my butt back in gear, at least with my eating, I have upped my protein big time, have increased my water, and lowered my carb and salt intake. From December 27 - January 10 I lose 11.8 lbs. I'm positive that you will start moving again...keep doing the right things because that makes a difference. I know I have to get back into my exercise program again, and I will...but I have so much to do at home til I can feel no sense of guilt for being at the gym vs. being at home cleaning!
Don't worry, you will start moving again, your body is adjusting...we all go through it from time to time. Just keep coming here for advice and support and you WILL SUCCEED!!!!

-84 lbs.
Don't even do it to yourself!
I know exactly where you're coming from. I had surgery on 8/16 and I've only lost 48lbs. I used to let my slow weight loss get me down, especially after coming on the boards and reading how much most people have lost.
For me, It's the exercise and the protein. Did you know that you should eat or drink first thing in the morning to start-up your matabolism for the day? I tested this by drinking a protein shake every morning for a week and I lost 5lbs (that's a big loss me).
What are your eating habits like?
Are you exercising (30 mins. a day)?
Cheer up, you've had great success and it will get better.
Email me if you need to chat.
Take care,
Angie
Don't feel bad...I'm going through the same thing. I have been bouncing from 158.5 to 161 for the last 2 weeks. I think our bodies are trying to take a break from the rapid weight loss. Try to not obess on it (yea I know...easier said than done) and look at how much you HAVE lost in such a short amount of time. Chin up...you're doing great.

After sitting and watching the live finale of "The Biggest Loser", I was feeling depressed so came to visit my friends on the board. I am so happy that I saw this post!
I had my surgery on 8/24 and was doing great but now feel like I have slowed down to a crawl. I am still working out but as I feel better, I can tolerate more things, which is very bad. I have lost about 75 pounds and don't expect them to be back, but I am feeling really discouraged right now.
Glad to know I'm not alone
