8/30 Progress Report 19 week out today!
Hi all you 8/30 babies. Hard to believe it is 19 weeks ago today we came over to our new lives. I have had no problems, thank God, and no regrets either. To date I have lost 65 pounds and 57 inches. I am finding the hairloss is in full swing. Hopefully this will pass quickly. It seems like I am already having new hair growth at the hairline. The best to you all, as always. See less of you next week.

I am SO relieved to say that I have finally, finally broken that nasty plateau. I weighed in at 197.5 today, a loss of 79 lbs. I'm so so happy to be in the 100's. Unfortunately, the hairloss is amazing. I'm afraid I may be bald by the time I get to goal. It's taken me so long to get my hair to shoulder length but I think it might look fuller short. Congrats all!

HI.. I am not 8/30...but 8/25... Good to hear you all are doing so well... I to am satisfied with the way my journey is going. I am also noticing the hair loss... just keep taking my vitamins and protein hoping that it will pass... I dont notice my hair thinner.. just lots in the drain when I was it. I am finally getting to a point where getting in all my protein is not an issue.. As of this past thursday I am down 77 lbs. It is so nice to go to the closet and clothes are loose and not tight. I also have more choices in what to wear than I had before surgery.
Wishing everyone a great week...

i am a 8/31 baby. i have lost about 75 pounds, i am teetering a few pounds right now, so i guess-timate a middle number there....
my husband is in the army, and just deployed, so i am in a serious slump. i have teetered since he left, basically because depression struck hard and i wouldnt eat, and couldnt sleep and was a walking zombie...
but.... this too shall pass....
i am slowly making my come back, eating more, hopefully to be losing more. i also star****er aerobics today too, so that will help.
I'm also a 8/31 baby and I've lost two pounds less than you! That is sooo cool! Same day and (almost) same loss! I've also been going through a lot of emotional stuff lately, but we can't let ourselves get down! One thing my Grandma used to always say "if everyone hung out their dirty laundry on the same line, you would grab yours in first!"

So far I've lost 87 pounds just since surgery. If you add the 34 pounds I lost before surgery, then I've lost over 120 pounds since the beginning of 2004!
At my highest weight I wore size 46 waist jeans. Now I wear 38's but they are getting quite loose. I went to the store the other day to try on new clothes. I'm not going to buy new clothes till I reach my goal, but I was very curious how small I could wear now. I tried on 36's and they fit fine.. tried 34's, they were pretty tight, but I did get them buttoned.. tried 32's.. nope, can't wear them yet. It's possible I may never wear 32's since I only have about 24 more pounds left to lose until I reach my goal of 160.
WLS is incredible. Never before could I have ever dreamed of putting on size 34 pants, but the other day I did it! I love my surgery and am so glad I did it...

Hi Susan,
Awesome weight lose...
I had surgery on 08/30/04 and is down -98 lbs as of today. I have had numerous plateau's but I have learned to work through them by continuing my Dr's advice. For hair issues, I use BioNutrient Nioxin and it works for me; extremly well.
Yes, Next week... can't wait...

Glad to see that we are posting our updates. I'm doing good - starting nursing school next week, just finished closing escrow and finally a home owner, and down 65 lbs! Life is good, 2005 so far has been great. Not really seeing any hair loss; I'm not doing too great with taking all my water and protein, just usually eat when hungry.
This week's loss: 2lbs
Loss thus far: 65
Start wt: 255
Current wt: 190
Goal: 150 (40 more LBS to go!)
Take care everyone and keep up the great progress.
adios,
