Has anyone gained since surgery???
A gain of 1-5 pounds can be fluid build up in your cells. Almost every day I can weigh myself in the morning, and by nightfall, weigh again and the scale will be higher than it was in the morning, as much as 4 pounds for me. Since I know I was pretty much on the plan thruout the day, and to gain 4 pounds of fat in a 12 hour period is pretty much difficult to do, I know this is fluid....not to mention I will weigh less again in the morning. The most important thing to remember is to drink your required amount of water daily...(obviously something I should practice but find it difficult to do, but I keep trying). I have been told that if you don't get the required amount your doctor recommends, you cells will retain fluid. This fluid retention is a mechanism that prevents your body from dehydrating. Just like if we don't get enough calories, we fail to lose weight. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS....if your DOCTOR has YOU on FLUID RESTRICTIONS, you should ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR DOCTORS ADVICE ON FLUID CONSUMPTION.
Best to you all!!!
I have had a 3-5 lb. fluctuation over the past 4 1/2 months, however, over the holidays I gained 8 pounds, and then the scale wouldn't budge. I know it was mostly water weight, because I was eating more salty foods than usual, plus I got my thing. I have finally lost it all plus 3 lbs!
