Mary Ann! Yeeehaw! That is so great! I wish that I had saved something like that, I just saved one pair of shorts, one pair of pants, and one shirt It's fun to try them on now and watch them fall off! As for your husband picking you up - that is SO fun! Next you need to ask him to twirl you around for awhile too

I like how you think girl! I'll suggest that to him next time for sure! Saving that fanny pack was purely by accident, but yeah, I'm glad I did! You've lost so much Aimee! That's awesome. I wanna be like you when I grow up!! I can't wait to hit my 100 mark! Actually I'll just be happy to weigh 199.5! Thanks again for this post, it's fun to read all the replies. :0) Mary Ann

Hi, Aimee. Jumping in here. I was cleaning out the rest of my closet on Tuesday, getting rid of the last of the size 26's and 28's, when I found the pants I wore to and from the hospital for my DS. I tried them on--they fell off. Just for fun, I was able to get my whole body into one leg! It was a really tight snakelike fit, but how amazing is that? I put those jeans back in the closet so that I can have that WOW moment whenever I need it. -joanne s preop/current/1st goal 277/189/175

That is so wonderful! I always love those pictures of people in one leg of their pre-op pants, I'll have to try it once I'm over my stupid hip thing! Congratulations on your WOW moment! Aimée

Great post, Aimée! My WOW moment this week was a little different than most. A friend of mine, who like all of us has tried every diet in the world, mentioned to me on Tuesday that she's ready to talk about having WLS and wants me to come to her house and tell her everything! She's researched some and decided it's probably the route for her to take. The neat thing about this is that, when I started looking into the surgery about 18 months ago, she was very concerned for me. She'd had a friend nearly die from WLS, so she was understandably worried. Granted, the friend's doctor was some quack who lost his license for nearly killing many people through WLS, but I can still see her concern. Knowing how she felt about it, I didn't share with her that I was having the surgery. I only told her after the fact. I really didn't want her to worry. So now, I feel so blessed that she is looking to me for information. I plan to take her my copies of Carnie Wilson's first book (the second one is better after surgery) and Barbara Thompson's book on WLS. As I know all of you can imagine, I have SO MUCH INFORMATION that I'd love to share with her, but I don't want to overwhelm her. In addition to the books, I plan to connect her with this website, where I learned so much during my long pre-op time. By the way, her insurance is wonderful and does cover WLS. I had told her to look into that before she forged ahead because that's so depressing when you find out your insurance won't cover it! Anyway, sorry for the L-O-N-G post, but I knew all of you could understand how thrilled I am that she's exploring this surgery (and I think she's just about got her mind made up). It'll be such a pleasure to give back some of the information that so many gave me as an inquisitive pre-op! Take care, August friends! Kathryn -64

Kathryn - that is just so wonderful - I can only imagine how great that must make you feel. You are a source of inspiration to someone - you really can't get anymore WOW than that! Give her my best and be sure to send her by to say hello! Aimée

Hi Aimee! I have realized that the wow moments are coming by the truckloads! A week before Christmas, my good friend took me shopping for her gift to me; clothes. At the time, I was thrilled that I found out I was in a size 14! They fit awesome at the time but before I knew it, they were getting really lose. Then last week, I took my mom to the mall to exchange a pair of pants she had. While we were waiting in line, I spotted a pair of pants that I liked so I grabbed a pair of 12's and 14's. I tried the 12's on first and they fit like a glove! I couldn't believe it! Today, I was going through my closet (I worked at home today due to a severe snow storm). A few friends of mine have given me clothes in smaller sizes; size 8, 10 etc. I grabbed a black skirt, size 10, and said, "the heck with it...I'll try it on." IT FIT!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!! I had my daughter take a picture of me in the skirt and a shirt that my friend gave me, size L in misses (didn't fit 2 weeks ago). The picture is now on my profile! So that was my wow moment this week! I don;t think I am in an official 10, I think I am still in a 12, but this skirt is a 10 and it fits! I am so happy! Congrats to you for finding your collar bone! LOL! I love these wow moments. Awesome thread! Hugs, Denise

I'm turning green here Denise Size ten is amazing! That is my goal size, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get there without a tummy tuck - we'll see, won't we? You'll have to post more pictures soon, it's so fun to see post-op pictures!! Aimée
