I am really worried about the amount of food it takes to satisfy my hunger. I am pretty close to tears here. I still don't eat a regular portion but I feel like it's way more than I should be eating. For example I can eat a whole "smart ones" meal with out any problems and still get hungry with in the next hour or two. I have been at a weightloss stall for about 3 weeks now. I'm on the verge of calling my surgeon to ask him what's up.....but, first I'd like to hear your opinions, or if any one else is having similar problems?

Yolanda You are not alone, please read Jeanette Kinley's post below (12/29/04). All the responses to her post made me realize I am not the only one having trouble. Maybe this is a four-month thing! Let's all try to get over it. Debbie

The same thing has happened to me too. I can eat a small microwave meal and be hungry in a few hours too. I find myself wanting to snack throughout the day. It's crazy how obsessed with food I am again. If you call your surgeon and he gives you any advice, please share with us!!!

Same here. I mentioned this to a few post op friends of mine that are over 1 year out, and they too experienced the SAME THING around their 4-5month. It went away for them, but comes back here and there when they can eat more than usual. THe main advice they gave me is to snack on healthy stuff when hungry: almonds, fruits, etc. It's as if your bodies is adjusting itself and figuring it out a balance point for it. Mention it to your doc to get a doc's opinion of it, but from what I've gotten from other post ops (longer out than me at 4mts), is that its something that happens to most and will just level out to your balanced level.

Whew!! I'm relieved to know that I'm not alone....I'm fighting the urge to snack around...daily. This is not easy...it's hard work...I just hate it when people say that we took the easy road. Guess that's why they call it the "tool". Kelli -60

Wow, it must be a 4 month thing. I have felt like snacking more too. Alot of people say that you need to drink more and eat more protein. So I am trying that. My weight seems like it has been stuck forever. Will I ever see the scales move again? Good Luck to all! We all got on this boat together and we have to keep it sailing! And remember when someone says this was the easy way out, remember it would have been a lot easier to have just done nothing. Let them think what they want too. We Rock!!!!!!

I'm so glad I came here. YES. I am about to scream. I'm so scared. I keep thinking I strectched my stomach & this was all for nothing. I too am at a stall. Wanting to snack all the time & wanting to eat in just a couple of hours. I have been going up & down a couple of lbs too. No great weight loss in the last few weeks.
