Need swimsuit w/underwire
I'm looking for a size 18-ish swimsuit with a built-in underwire bra. I do water aerobics several times per week and find I need the "real" bra for support--not just one of those elastic shelf things. I'm still pretty well-endowed up top, and it gets uncomfortable if I'm not well-supported. I found a great suit on clearance at Roamans.com a couple of months ago, but it's going to be too big pretty soon and Roamans doesn't seem to carry it anymore.
So, anyone have a gently used 18-ish underwire swimsuit I can buy, borrow, or have? Or, does anyone know where I can find one to buy (preferably for $30 or less--hard to justify spending $50 or more for a swimsuit I'll only wear for a month or two at this point)? Oh, and it's better if it's not a swimdress; the extra fabric gets in the way during aerobics. The one I have right now has a removable skirt, which is perfect.

Thanks, Aimee. I did find one at newport-news.com that I liked, for about the price you said. Close enough, especially since I'm so picky. One question, though. Do you have any idea if there's a difference between a size 18 and an 18W? The suit I want is available in both sizes, but the 18W costs $5 more. Is there a reason why I would want to get an 18W? I'm still pretty large in the chest and hips, so if it really is more generously cut or something, perhaps I should get the "W."

I'm pretty sure that anything with a W attached to the end of it has a more generous cut in the bottom areas. I'm unable to wear the W's because I'm an apple: HUGE tummy, skinny legs (wow, I just said SKINNY to describe myself, crazy!) -- It's silly how much more they will charge for the W - considering, it's really not THAT much more material, but for some people it will really make the difference between something being too tight or fitting correctly I ordered the skirted kind and it has a belt. I ordered a regular 16 and now the belt hangs off, so I'll probably have to order a new one soon!
I'm glad you were able to find something you liked though, it's hard to find a nice bathing suit Let me know how it fits when you get it

Leslie:
I did a "Google" on the swimsuit with underwire and got this beautiful suit by JMS. See link: http://www.jms.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1607315139&prmenbr=2701&cgrfnbr=1607305444&V=A
I hopt this works for you! I think it's a great suit, and I'm going to have to order one myself by summertime. I'll be wanting to hit the beach (or what's left of it after last summer's hurricane season) in no time at all!
Good luck with the swim aerobics! I'm into Curves for Women and bike riding. Walking is OK too, but it's a little boring for me. I really like the Curves workout. But isn't it great that we're working out??? Yea!

Wow! Thanks, Laura! You went above and beyond. It is a beautiful suit. Looks like it would be very supportive and flattering. A bit out of my budget range, though. But I'll keep an eye on it to see if it goes on sale at some point in the future. You never know! It's $10 off right now--maybe if I sign up for email ads they'll send a coupon in the mail or something. I know the other web sites I frequent do that a lot.
In the meantime, I found a couple of underwire swimsuits in the $40 range that I liked at newport-news.com. I'm going to give one of those a try and report back to you guys on how I like it. If I don't like it, I'm sure I'll be needing another suit pretty soon after that, so I have this one to fall back on.
Thanks again for the help. You did find a really nice swimsuit that fits my criteria.
