Re: Immediate Surgery, Prayers, Strictures, 8/3/04 Folks, Hair Going, Boney Butt
Our thoughts are with those who need immediate surgery and who are asking for prayers. Good luck to each and every one of you having complications and problems. I had an internal bleeding problem and was hospitalized for a few days back in October, but it has cleared up and I am fine now, thanks mostly from support by people just like these great individuals on this message board. Thanks for everything you provide us!
I also had a stricture and had to have it widened a couple of times. I'm told strictures happen in about 15% of gastric bypass patients. Everything seems to be working OK now, and I'm starting to eat more regular foods.
Yesterday was my four-month annivesary and including the 30 lbs I lost before my surgery on 8/3/04, I've lost a total of 121 lbs... 91 since the surgery and 30 before from my heighest weight in April of 327 lbs. I am now at 206 lbs and feel great!
Hair loss... yes, I am starting to lose my hair, too. I hope it stops at the six to nine month point like I'm told by most of my support group buddies. And DO I have a boney butt. I feel I need to take a cushion with me everywhere so I can sit comfortably. I did put an extra cushion in my truck. My wife says I need a butt lift.
