please someone help me.....................

I had my open gastric bypass on aug 31 this year and i was feeling wet by the bottom of my incision so when i went to look there was a tiny hole and puss was coming out..........if i squeesed it more and more would come out...............has this happened to anyone????????????????im gonna call my surgeon mon morn but for now what should i do for now??????????????

Call him/or her now!!! Don't wait for Monday morning....They have someone on call if she or he is not avail.

I have had the same thing happen though I am not sure for the same reason.... It seems that my body has rejected the stiches my MD put in and one by one they are being fourced out and just last night ( yeap 13 weeks post op) it happened again. The stiches actualy came out with the puss. It really freaked me out the first time this happened. Definately CALL your MD. you might need some antibiotics. Also keep an eye on your temp and watch to see if there is a red line moving away fromt he sore. IF SO GO TO THE ER right away. ( this could mean the infection in in your blood ) Till then keep the area very clean and covered. Wa**** with Hydrogen proxide. Good luck.
