Never thought I would be posting this but wanted to let you all know of all the problems I have been through. 08/30/04 - Lap RNY Surgery 10/01/04 - hospitalized for vomiting and dehydration (thought it was a virus) 11/01/04 - hopspitalized again for vomiting, dehydration and abdominal pain (at this point I am scared to death and had no answer) 11/17/04 - Went to ER with same symptoms ended up having surgery to remove bowel obstruction on 11/20/04 I have been in the hospital for 7 days this has been a very horrible experience for me. I never thought I would be posting about my complications. Its one of those things that you think would never happen to you. I hope my journey from here on out is a little smoother. --Marianne

I hope things are going better for you... I had some complications too with vomiting and dehydration and I ended up having a surgery to put a line in for me to get my nutrients.. I was not able to eat for approx. 2- 3 weeks.. Lisa Don't worry it'll get greater later "kiss" ((hugzz))

Marianne - I pray that you are through the worst of it. Complications occur in such a small percentage of cases. That statistic doesn't mean much when it is you, does it. You certainly have been through the ringer. I hope your recovery continues uneventfully for the duration. I'm a little over 3 months out and feel great. I pray for the same outcome for you,now that the obstruction is gone.

Lord Marianne, I am so sorry.... That scares me as you know I have had the vomiting issues since surgery. I have had test after test that do not show anything. What you are experiencing is my biggest fear. I am so very sorry that you have had to endure this. I am going to pray that from this point forward, you do well. God bless you, try to rest, and gather your strength back! Take Care and praying for you! Denise
