8/30 progress reports
Hi everyone....
Here it is, another week gone by. I hope you are all doing well. I am pleased with my progress this week, I lost 4.5 pounds for a total of 51 pounds since 8/30. In the past weeks, sometimes I felt like I wasn't doing much as far as a weighloss, but those pounds add up. I eat everything within moderation (my pouch reminds me) and I still have those times when I have cravings, but they are getting less and less. I am truly fortunate. I have tried anything I wanted to, and I haven't gotten sick on anything. I feel like a normal person. Food does not control me at this point, I control it, and it feels so good....
I hope you all have a great week, and I will be seeing less of you next week!
Susan
Fellow 8/30 here too...Glad to hear you're doing so great Susan!
As for me, I'm down 2lbs this week...total loss: 47lbs
Start weight: 255
Current wt: 208
My week wasn't too great...I was dry heaving most of the time. I was bad this week. I figured I was doing so great on my foods, that I would try different things. Tried some fast food places, and sure enough, I was feeling yucky after a few bites. You would THINK I learned my lesson by now, but nooo...But, went to buy some healthy foods and munching on those instead of my bad cravings; I bought: carrots, low fat ranch for dipping, almonds, cheese sticks for snacks, some yogurts and Orange juice. My cravings are mainly fast food and spicy foods. Anywho, I feel that my tummy is a bit mad at me, so taking it very slowly from now on, can't be pushing my luck so much.
It's great to hear ya'lls progress. I had been on a terrible plateau for almost two weeks but the weight loss has finally kicked in again. I'm down 57.6 lbs. Yhe funny thing is, while I wasn't losing anything during that plateau, EVERYONE started noticing and commenting on my weightloss. Go figure. I guess I was losing inches. Best~barb
Great Job on the weight loss people!
My usual 2 lbs came off this week. IT's been steadily 2 lbs a week for the last month. That's just fine with me. I am down a total of -51 lbs. and in a 20W for clothing. ((SMILE))) I have only had 2 dumping episodes since the surgery, WOOOO talk about a lesson well learned. Not necessarily sugars but some thing in the food I ate. My cravings are still with me. But of course my tummy tells me when they are true hunger or just head hunger. Working on getting water and protien intake to a decent amount. Protien in all shapes and forms gives me such a bad tummy ache! I have tried so many, and have like 13 full cans of powder laying around the house. LOL! like I said I've tried everything.
Have a great thanksgiving all!
lovey
hey there,
I'm on that same boat...only 2 lbs per week. I'm also glad that the scale moves at all, but 2 lbs a week seems so sloooow. I guess it's because of other factors, starting weight, etc. My start weight was 255, now at 208...so, i'm happy with it all, just want to be under 200 asap! Mind if I ask what your starting and current is? I think we're 2lbs/wk-twins!
adios,
norma g.
well..... I am happy about the 55 lbs I have lost since 8/31, but last week I had only lost 3 lbs.. stinks. I hope it picks up a little. I started at 378 and now weigh 323 I want to get below 300 by christmas. I hope I make it. It will be My Christmas present. I weigh every Friday. Maybe this Friday will be more loss.. I hope Sheila
I am so happy for us, losing at this steady, healthy pace. I hope to be 20 pounds lighter by Xmas, this would put me where I was 2 years ago, before I gained it all, and then some back. I really am not too excited about this 51 pound loss as of yet, for I have lost nearly 100 pounds a few times before. What will excite me is when it will not come back! Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and remember, we do not have to say "NO", just choose wisely.
Best to you all,
Susan
Well, I had my surgery on Aug. 31 but I always post with you guys. I am down 65 lbs. I feel like I am a slow loser because I started so high. (391) I still have a very hard time with the protein. One thing I have a problem with too is burping. I burp alot after eating. And it is extremely hard for me to get enough liquids in. But I am getting better.
Congratulations to everyone on their weight losses and remember to get that calcium in! Recent postings about the negatives of gastric bypass really have me thinking about trying to make sure and get enough calcium, I certainly dont want to end up with bone loss!
