3-month Anniversary - 8/16
Hi everyone. I was just thinking how fast the last 3 months have gone, and how much my life is starting to change. My outlook on life is getting better, I'm becoming more active, and my arthritis isn't nearly as bad. My high blood pressure is now gone, and is rather on the low side (108/72 yesterday). My clothes are no longer way too tight, and are actually way too big, and am having to buy new clothes on occasion just to get me through. This is the best decision I ever made for myself, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me.
I was curious how everyone else is feeling about themselves after this three months. Is there anything you can do now that you couldn't before? For me it's crossing my legs and tying my shoes. How about food? What can't you eat? For me it's homecooked turkey. Deli meat is fine, but cook a turkey, and I get so sick...my little pouch does not like it! Another thing for me is bread, anything yeast based, and I'm done for!!!
So how about you???

Well, for me it's 2-1/2 months but I'd love to join in. I am so excited about being down 61 pounds, but that's not it. I no longer have to use my CPAP machine for my sleep apnea. I think it's gone. I'm not tired during the day all the time anymore. My husband says I don't snore anymore. I can "clean" myself better than I have in a long time. I can tie my bra behind my back and get dressed without getting exhausted. I can climb my stairs with no problem and no shortness of breath. I can walk over a mile in 20 minutes and feel like doing it again, instead of crying half way through and having to stop. I can tie my shoes without cutting of my breath and I can fit in chairs that I couldn't fit in pre-surgery. I still realize I have a long way to go, but I can actually see "it" better now. It's really happening.
I haven't really had a problem with any foods, unless I eat too fast. I am, however, having a hard time staying with the two ounces and that scares me sometimes, so I just make sure that everything I eat is healthy. Two ounces of salad really doesn't go that far. I am planning on putting more meat and cheese on it today for protein though, hopefully that will help.
Well that's my story. Sorry it's so long.

I'm so happy to hear you are doing so well. I'm sure your ecstatic with your health issues changing for the better.
I too am feeling great about my weightloss. I havent lost near as much as you but for me the 49 lbs I have lost have made a huge difference in my size, shape, attitude, and clothes. I started at a tight 26W, and am getting pretty close to moving down to a 20W. The 22w's that I am wearing now are getting pretty sloppy looking. As a matter of fact I had to sew in the ones I have because I just cant afford to go buy all new clothes. But the idea that the sizes keep going down, down, down, makes me smile and feel so great.
I have never had trouble eating anything. I can eat bread if I wanted, I choose not to endulge in too many carbs/pastas/rices/etc. I tolerate any and all types of meat. I recently tried venison, and Oh God I was in heaven! No problems what so ever. I can eat salads with no problems as well as drink more and faster now. As a matter of fact, I have posted a couple of times taht this worries me because I can tolerate so much with no ill effects. You know the old "failure" syndrome kicked in. But have found that I was able to gain strength with the faith that all my friends here on this board have shown me.
I hope you continue to do well. Stay Happy, Stay Healthy. ((((HUGS))))

Happy Aniversay Judy you are doing wonderful.
Over the 3 months I look toward the future also. I want to be more active but find it hard to do since I was a super morbidly obese houseflower. But I definately go out much more than I did before. I'm still trying to get my head to catch up with my body. I was blessed to not have any co morbids considering my size at surgery & my health is good. But one wonderful milestone that I had was during church I was able to sit with my bible open on my lap during service. I almost cried.
I too am having clothes issue I had tons of stuff boxed to use as I went down but hardly have anything to wear because I jumped boxes so fast.
So even though I may not be a BIG LOSER like you I know I'm losing inches.
My worst experience was Gen Food Intl sugar free coffee had it several times before no problem then one day BAM. And my chicken must be extremly moist or
Continued success to everyone
