I've recently re-introduced salad back into my diet. I LOVE salad! But, I don't want to get bored. I'm wondering if anyone else out there likes salad as much as I do and which ones they've tried that have "settled" on the stomach well. Subway's Tuna Salad is great! ---no dressing Arby's Martha's Vineyard Salad ----raspberry vinaigrette dressing Burger King's Grilled Chicken Caesar ---- Caesar dressing Wendy's side salad w/Wendy's chili --- no dressing OR w/sour cream Any other suggestions for "fast food" salads? I am eager to hear your suggestions! Thanks! ~Laura in Alabama

Mmmmmm, I love salad. Before I was allowed to have lettuce, my hubby would eat salad with FF Zesty Italian dressing. After he ate all the lettuce, I would "lick" the bowl! I like Wendy's BLT salad, but I get the reduced fat Ranch instead of their Honey Mustard. Chik-fil-A has pretty good salads, too. But my favorite salad is from Outback. It's just a simple salad, but they put tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, and croutons on it. Yummmmy! *~Amber~*

Hi Amber, I had my surgery on the same day as you. At what point did you get to start eating lettuce. I don't go to the Dr. til the 16th so its been almost 1 month since i've been there and am hoping to start introducing lots of new things. Thanks, Becky [email protected]

Well, all surgeons are different. Mostly they don't want you to eat salad becuase you need to get in your protein. So I put cubed chiken in my salad. I wasn't allowed to have salad until the 3rd week of October, but I tried some shredded lettuce here and there before then. I would also buy pickle spears and cut off the skin and eat those. Basically I had a progression diet. The first 4 weeks was blenderized only. Then the next two weeks (phase 1) I could add some things. Then in phase two I was allowed steamed and cooked veggies, and canned fruits. And in phase 3 I could have raw veggies and fruits as long as they agreed with my new pouch. *~Amber~*

I'm not allowed salad yet. I can't wait! Salad is one of the things I miss most. Was told I could have a little bit of shredded lettuce, but what's the point without the tomatoes, cukes, etc.

Wow, you've made me hungry for a salad now. I'm going to try some of your suggestions, I think. Also, this isn't a salad, but I tried the Subway Atkins Wrap the other day and it was divine. I ate about 1/4 of it and was able to get three more meals. But now I want salad Thanks for the tips, I'll let you know if I find anything else! Aimée -60

I have just tried salads made with spring greens, add chucks of cheese and a few walnuts, so good! My problem is I love raspberry vinaigrette dressing. First try, it does not like me, nor does my pouch like it. So I am searching for a dressing that will me nice to my pouch. I have had chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad for few weeks now, love all three.

I love salad. I could have that for a meal everyday. My fav is Wendy's Chicken Mandarin salad with a vinegarette dressing. I've never had a problem with this salad. Patty
