It's official, you're an honorary 8/30 person...minus 3 days Great job on the weightloss...I've been averaging 3-4lbs down a week, but then have weeks where I only go down 1 lb or none...A few weeks ago I gained a few, but sure enough, they came off again...

My surgery was 8/31 - I was down 55 pounds as of last Saturday (3 days ago). I've had no problems tolerating anything except for one early dumping after eating some chicken too early on in the game. Now all is fine. I would LOVE to HAVE to get a different size of clothing... I think my clothes will fit me forever. I was wearing big 24s before (all stretchy stuff) and now, all I can do that's different is wear the "not big" 24s... the stuff that actually has buttons. Sigh. I have about 150 left to go, so the first 55 really hasn't made much of a dent. Maybe when I get to 100 pounds lost I'll actually get to buy new clothes.

Well, I have lost 61 lbs since Aug 31st but nobody has really noticed. I started at 391 so I guess it will take a little while longer before anyone really notices. I still have to lose at least another 150 lbs, although I would like to lose about another 175. Congratulations on everyones good losses! Joy Lap RNY 8/31/04 391/360/150

Hi Everyone and congratulations on the weightloss so far. I'm and August 30'er and am down a solid 50 lbs. Still seems like a spoonful of dirt off a mountain, but I'm still pleased with my progress because I don't get tired and winded as easily as I used to so something has gotten better!

Well all you RNY-ers, I'm crashing your party. I have a lap band (8/31) and have lost 33 pounds to date. I'm pretty happy with the results. I have gone down 1-2 dress sizes depending on what type of clothing it is. I'm exercising 3-4 times a week; getting my protein first, then veggies. Most recently have had to really concentrate on drinking all my water. After a plateau of 3 weeks, I drank a river, had a second fill, and am now losing again. Congratulations to all for giving yourselves the gift of good health! - marjorie

I am down 52 pounds. Yahoo! I have gone through 2 periods of no weight loss for a week and a half. It's during those times that I have to remind myself to look at the big picture (no pun intended!) and realize how much I've lost so far...Then I nearly crawl out of my skin because I'm so happy!

At my week 10 appointment I was officially down 75 pounds since the surgery on 8/30. I couldn't be more thrilled. I am down from a 6x shirt to a 4x shirt and all my pants are extremely baggy.

My surgery was on the 27th of Aug, but I'd like to post my progress also since that week is not very active. I have lost 54 pounds and feel wonderful. Had about a 3-4 week plateau that got me very discouraged, hubby kept telling me I might not be losing, but my body was shaping. Finally started losing again, but much slower than the first month. Had a garage sale last week end and sold all my bigger clothes. It is so exciting to try on smaller sizes. Yall are all doing great, keep it up. Isn't it wonderful to finally be successful at losing?
