Hello fellow Augusteers. Lately I have been a little hungrier than I used to be. Wondering if what your having for meals is similiar to mine. I am allowed 3 meals and 2 snacks: EXAMPLE B-Protein shake w/carb coutdown L-Protein shake w/Crys Light S-4-5 crackers with 1-2 oz lunch meat and 3oz cheese D-3 oz of protein,1/4 cup veg Never make it to the last snack and just recently starting eating the afternoon snack around 2 weeks ago. This usually gets me around 60-80 grams of protein a day and around 60-70 oz in liquids (water, crys light, decaf tea). Come on guys send me some examples of the day & life of a 8/2004 post op. It sure would help. Continued success Jackie

Wow, The chicken and dumplings sound heavenly. Are they homemade or is it a quick dinner. I'm already getting sick of the basics and red meat would be a great change. My surgeon won't allow it for 6-12 months. But its really his decision. Thanks for the ideas Turkey chili sounds pretty darn good to. Jackie

I am noticing a feeling of hunger more now. Not a starving hunger, just my body saying it is time to eat something. I can't really say I have a basic menu. I eat pretty much what I want but am still at the stage of finding a lot I don't like anymore. Today I had: Cheerios with milk for breakfat, lot more milk then cheerios the bottom of a taco from taco bell for lunch with some pintos and cheese Crackers for a snack the insides of a burrito for supper. Pinto and cheese leftover for snack Some water and Diet V8 splash. I am still low on liquids and proteins, but I am still in some pain from the second surgery and the pain of taking all the meds now for an ulcer. For some reason, I do much better on red meats then anything else. I usually have a lot more variety then what is listed above. I was out a lot today getting a haircut and such and this Vac on my abdomen for the open wounds I think makes it harder for me to eat. Like there is a tugging on the tummy. Hard to explain. Have had a really tough time. Some days, eating is easier then others. Some days there is a lot of variety, and some I just can't tolerate it.

I eat/drink whenever I feel the need. Here is a good example of my food for a day... 3-6oz protein drinks (75g protein total), 1 oz cashews, 1/4 apple, pear,or banana, 1 cracker w/3/4 oz Laughing cow light cheese, 1/3 cup cooked vegetable or salad. 32 oz or more water/tea. Hope it helps.

Thanks Michelle every idea helps. I keep hearing about that Laughing cow cheese I think I might try it. I so envy the cashews my surgeon says no nuts. So have a couple for me. Continued success Jackie
