I have a protein issue, but I have found a great source of protein from Permalean. They have a vanilla, chocolate and berry flavor. I mix the vanilla and or chocolate in with cream of wheat so that I can get my protein. I also mix the Chocolate in with 1/4 of Coffee and the res****er. Powdered milk is also another good source of protein that can be mixed in with hot cereal, or coffee. Sue

Hi, Sheila! I am in the same boat. My doctor feels the same way about protein shakes and bars. Lately what I've tried is drinking milk in between meals to help get more protein in, although it's not my first choice to sip on. I've also started having easy on-the-go foods for breakfast that work for my sensitive morning tummy like a slice of colby cheese, half a hard boiled egg, or some peanut butter. At my support group last night they told me it gets much easier between 3 and 6 months. Hang in there! You're not alone.

Try Bariatrix Nutrition. High protein products low calories. Just do a search on the internet.

ISO Pure makes a powder that when mixed with water gives you 50g of protein in a 12 oz drink. I mix 6 oz at a time served over ice. Some flavors have 0 carbs and others are nearly 0 carbs. Iso Pure also makes a premixed drink that tastes kind of like Crystal light but does not have as much protein as the powder mix. You can find this at GNC stores and some fitness centers. The containers are large and pricey but when you calculate the cost per day...cheap and well worth it. This has been the only way I can get my protein needs met. I drink 50-75g per day. I can still only eat about 1/4 cup at a time-at the most! Depends on the food. Good luck
