8/30 here reporting... Week 8 today for all of us. I'm down -36lbs, but the scale is at a turtle's pace (if at all...grrr). I lost 2lbs this week, but did gain one last week, so not much progress in the last 2-3wks... Anywho, impatiently waiting for this plateau to GO AWAY! Hope the scale has been kinder to you than it has to me!!! Adios, Norma G. 255/219/150

Hello Norma I can't believe it has been 8 weeks already....I have lost 48 pounds. Only 1 pound this whole week. I have not starting exercising yet. I know I have to. Maybe the scale will be alot nicer if I do. I still have a hard time believing that I am actually going to lose this weight, and when the scale doesn't move I get really depressed. I have been reading other comments that people have said about not losing weight in the 7th or 8th week because you need to give your body a chance to catch up to the weight loss. I hope that is true. Good luck with your weight loss and I will keep you posted. Lisa

Surgery on 8/31 - down 27 pounds. Haven't lost anything for almost 2 weeks. I am drinking tons of water and have started back at Curves. On the treadmill when not there. Had one fill - probably need one more. That's all for now.... Marjorie 232/205/135

I'm an 8/31'er the scale has been up a pound, down 2 pounds, up 2 pounds, down a pound for the last week or so too. Sounds like it's par for the course for most of us 245/198/150

I'm -45, but have been stuck here for almost a week. The good news is my pants that fit me just right last week are now getting way too big, so my inches must be rapidly adjusting this week. I try not to weigh every day, but let's be honest... I do! Up a few, down .5, back up .5, then back down. We're all getting used to the up down scale thing, aren't we?

Norma, I'm so happy you do this. After reading how other 8-30's are doing, I feel much better. I always feel like I'm a slow loser but I'm right w/ a lot of others at 47 lbs. I haven lost much in the last two weeks and have been in a real funk. I guess my body is adjusting to the quick weight loss. Again, thanks! Hugs, barb

Glad this helps; I know it helps me out A LOT to know where everyone from my day (or there abouts) are at. This community is definitely about support, and sharing our same surgery dates is an awesome connection Don't forget to include your info for this week under Week9's entry. thanks! norma g.

All is well here, also. And Congradulations on the weight lose. I had a 1 week plateau that finally went away on last Wednesday because of my cycle. My Dr. said "I'm doing extremely well and don't worry about what the scale says", but I do... I am down 61 lbs from surgery on 08/31. I have lost 6 dress sizes now and the iches are just melting away. LOL/Hugs gwen
