Amber - Congrats on your success! Hope that leg is feeling better soon, too! Jackie - I had my surgery on 8/24 and I find that some days I feel like I could eat everything in sight, and then others I don't want anything. The nutritionist told us not to eat anything unless we're enjoying it. She said if you take a couple of bites and don't liek it, then don't eat it. I find I still have cravings but then when I eat what I wanted, it doesn't taste as good as I remembered it to be. The protein makes a difference, I can tell when I haven't had enough. I'm not counting calories anymore, but when I was my intake was 500-700 a day, based on my choices. The decaf lattes have a lot of calories, but for me that's a snack and it's worth it. Good luck! Thanks Jen and Jackie! I went to get my blood drawn today and I go see my doctor tomorrow. HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed) I will get the okay to exercise now. I am going stir-crazy. I could be losing alot faster if I was active. About 95% of my swelling is gone now. And they just increased my Coumadin level. So I think that almost all of the clot is gone now. I just have to be careful not to injure myself. The other day I scraped my calf (w/o the clot) and I had a nice purple bruise in less than 30 seconds! I used to be the "Mystery Bruise Lady". It would take 2 days for a bruise to show up, and by then I'd forget how I did it! LOL Well, talk to you girls later! *~Amber~*
