Stopped Loosing!
Barb....I upped my protein and water. I dropped 2 lbs yesterday and 1/2 lb today. I had been setting on 222 for week or so also. Was such a blast to see the scale drop. Felt like dancing around the world! Most days I get in around 600-700 calories. The body must be yelling, "Hold on to the fat! She is not eating!" Life and loosing is such fun!
I am new to this group actually never been here before .Today somebody mentioned it and since my surgery was on August 3rd , 2004 I wanted to see how other people are doing. My starting weight was 288lbs and now I am down to 238 but I have been losing and gaining the same 2lbs for the past 2weeks , my hair started falling a lot and my nails kept breaking. Now it looks like it has stabilized a little bit since I added an extra protein drink every day.I was exercising on my elliptical machine plus walking every day until my knee stated hurting again (I have a broken cartilage) .Last week I was cleaning one of my rug's fringes and I was bending down a lot and ever since I have had these muscle pains in the front of my thights and the back that won't go away.It feels like pain you get when you start exercising but this does not make any sense because I was exercising before and the pain was going away. I am also hypothyroid and I was hyperthyroid for about 2 weeks until my endo reduced my Synthroid. I seem to be ok , but I sure miss that boundless energy but I sure don't miss not being able to sleep and everything anoying me. I went from a size 22-24 to a 16-18reg pants and to a 12-14 shirt. The 18 pants are loose but I can't yet button the size 16.I just bought an xl winter jacket and it's great. People I don't know look at me funny and try to talk to me.Sorry for so many details but I have to talk about it.
First, let me welcome you to our board. There are many wonderful people on this board. All of us going through the same joys and problems. I have broke my stand still and have lost 4.5 lbs in past week.
Perhaps the muscles yoy injuried were ones you had not been using with the exercise. I know for myself, I have and had many that had not been used in wat too many years. Some I am still finding.
You have lost a good amount of weight and size, so you must be doing something right. Keep up the good work.
