Did any of you 8/30's lose ANY weight this week? I didn't drop a single pound this week and bummed about it. I think I may have even gained one. I've been a bit bad on my protein and wasn't taking in as much water as I should have...maybe that's the culprit. Anywho, bummed that I can't note any loss this week on my log and just curious if any other 8/30's are going through this in their 7wks out.

I had surgery 8/17.....but from reading the boards - whenever someone hasn't had any or a significant amount of weight loss they are told to increase their protein and water and to move...... Good Luck and the scale will move again..... Lisa

7 weeks right here and haven't lost an ounce in 3 weeks. I am holding at -29 lbs. I don't think I could add another ounce of protein or water. I am getting in what I am told and exercising but no moving of the scale!! Good luck to the rest of you losers!!! Keep on losing!

I'm at 9 weeks this coming friday. I weigh every week at my support meeting ,went last night and I stepped on the scale to see 234 same as last week. I am stalling it appears yet I remeber that our bodys play catch up at times. So I bet if you took messurments maybe you can check on that progress. In any case we are all doing WONDERFUL! I am having the same problem. I really think it might have to do with the protein. I have been slacking lately. I am just so sick of the Atkins shake mix! I wish I could find another suitable one that Food Stamps would pay for. I can't afford to pay cash for them. I found some really great protein cereal bars though. They are made by Post and called Carb Well cereal bars. They have ten grams of protein per bar. The Cinnamon Raisin one brought to mind a really good oatmeal raisin cookie when I ate it. I highly recommend these bars. They are in the aisle by the other breakfast bars and fruit snacks. Joy Lap RNY 8/31/04 391/346/150

Have you tried the carb consious carnation instant breakfast? I mix mine with Carb Countdown milk and it ends up being 16g of protein (Could be better but it is a nice change). It is really yummy too (tastes like chocalate milk). You could probably buy it with food stamps (I would think). Good Luck! --Marianne

FYI - I had a "plateau" at weeks 6 AND 7, then in the next week BOOM the scales started moving. Your body has to have little plateaus and during those plateaus you will notice your clothes feel different because your body is shifting and inches are being lost. So, DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED!!!!! Thanks for the info Cyndi...I'm definitely trying to keep optimist...just got so used to seeing the scale moving down at least 2pounds a week. But you're totally right, our bodies have to catch up and it should soon pass. take care! norma g.

Hi Norma I had surgery on 8/30 and I have been fighting with my scale too. I write down my weight every Monday. As of Mon the 18th I was down 47 pounds. It hasn't moved since. It's been 4 days. It is so depressing. Maybe it is just what happens at 7 weeks out. Keep me informed if the scale starts moving for you. Good Luck Lisa
