STRICTURE

Has anyone had experience with a stricture? Dr. went in yesterday and discovered my opening was extremely narrow. He attempted to stretch it out but he only reached to a nickel size. He wants to get to a quarter. But the question is: will it stay open?

I don't know about strictures personally, but from what I've heard from people I've met here on OH is that it's pretty routine that you'll have to continue to go back every once in awhile and have it restretched. Good Luck! Let us know what you find out! Angelina 253/210/140

I have a friend from another board who had WLS a few days before me and she's had to have the EGD done at least twice. I had one on 8/30 and thankfully, I've not any other problems. The surgeon told my DH that it was small, but not very bad at all. To help the dialation work, you have to be sure to eat as often as your doctor says. If not, then it will start to shrink again.
