and carbs,
I have tried a few they are not the greatest but I am trying
sometimes I go a day or so with no protien at all,
it is also very hard for me to eat
I eat 1x a day something very small usually soup

no lunch
just some soup for dinner,,and sugar free ice pops
so not only I dont eat well I do not get proper protien
any tips that I can make myself do better
I feel like a failed.
Hi Brandi,
First of all have you called your Dr/nutrtionist? I found that if you schedule your eating and stick to it it will help. Prottein is very important to help you lose weight. If you don't eat enough your body starts to store and slow your metabolism. Have you trid ANY WHey from GNC (no flavor and you can add to anything. Also, if you go to GNC they can let you taste the different proteins in small amounts to see if you like any. Another source of protein that works really well for me is cheese and yougurt add the anywhy to 4 oz of yogurt and you can get almost 30 grams in one shot. I hope this helps and good luck. How much weight have you lost?
Please don't feel like a failure. I had to call a nutritionist to help me. The surgeon wrote the orders for me. Now I'm finally getting enough liquids and protein. I'm eating 5 meals a day and have to record all my food and drink as well as when I exercise. I'm feeling much better. I'd strongly recommend you do the same. It will be worth your time. I promise.
God bless you and ease you weight loss journey.

Brandi,
Listen hon, you have to get protein in! Easier said than done, I know. I am also having a hard time.
Good news, though! There is a liquid protein on the market called Pro-Stat. It is a liquid protein that you take by the tablespoon. 2 TBLSP gives you 15 grams of protein!!
It isn't delicious, but it is such a small amount that is is over before you realize the taste!
Take it like medicine. Down the hatch and bam! You have 15 grams in you. Do this three times daily, eat some protein and you are good to go.
It is available online or by phone. I don't think stores carry it, alothough GNC has their own kind of liquid protein. I think GNC's liquid protein is 5 grams of protein per TBLSP so you would need to take three to get the 15 grams.
Here is the website for pro-stat: www.pro-stat.com
Look into it, hon!
Hugs,
Denise
Hello Brandi
I had surgery on 8/30, and I was also having a hard time eating & drinking the protein. I have started putting a banana or peanut butter along with 3 or 4 peices of ice in the blender with the protein drink. It tastes like a shake. My favorite is with the banana. I can never finish them but they are alot better now. I usually have one in the morning. Im sick of eggs. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Brandi, you are NOT a failure hun!!!!! you have gotten some good advice here~~ what you are going through is NORMAL.....ive been there too! I just found a protein drink I can stomach (isopure zero carb ready mixed) and rely on that alot. You have to get that protein in! I have a friend who wasnt and had serious problems with muscle weakness and dizziness....be careful! I hope that the medicinal type protein works for you hun! HUuggZZZ!! good luck!!
