I had surgery August 23rd. My last normal menstrual cycle was August 13th. In September I spotted for a week and a half. I haven't seen any signs of PMS this month. I should have started by now. What could be wrong? I've heard of women who don't have their period prior to surgery, and as soon as they start to loose weight, they get it. But I did the opposite. I was always regular. I don't have any children, yet. Am I going to be infertile now??? Please help!!! *~Amber~*

Do not worry!! I had surgery on June 9th and just had my first period. I called my doctor and they said it is because of the rapid weight loss that throws your body off schedule. Good LUck!! Lorrie

Amber... You're not going to be infertile now! You're probably going to be super fertile! With the sugery and quick weight-loss your hormones are all over the place. As women, we store estrogen in our fat cells. As we lose weight the estrogen is released. Chances are your estrogen levels are elevated and causing your period to be a little wacky. As long as you know you're not pregnant then hang in there for a couple more weeks. If you don't start by then, you should call your GYN...you may need a 'jump start' to get your cycle going. Take care, nicole

Amber: From everything I've read that is normal for the first few months. I had mine right on time in Aug and Sept and now nothing in Oct yet. I to have always been regular up until now. I guess our hormones are all mixed up with the surgery and the change in eating habits. Im sure it's nothing to be concerned about. Patty
