incisions - ouchy!

Out of nowhere, my incisions started hurting a bit yesterday. They feel tender, as if I have a papercut in there or something! I had had no problems before this and even gave them a second thought. They seem to be in good shape, just that little pain...hmm.... What do most put on their incisions? I had my RNY Lap...just curious what I should put on them to avoid any minor pain and also to get them to disappear as much as possible. thanks, norma g.

Hello Norma, I think the reason for the pain at incision site is the regeneration of nerves and the nerve endings are letting you know there is a change going on inside. I had the same question for my doctor and that is what she said. The nerve endings are now starting to grow back together and that is what is causing you the discomfort. Hope this helps you!
