Go to GNC - they have a wide variety of protien bars. And the surprising thing is, they taste pretty good.

Target has a set of bins of individual protein bars in their weight-loss products section (over by the Slim-Fast). You can pick up one of each flavor to see what you like before you buy a whole box of something you might hate. I remember there being at least three brands, several flavors each, the last time I was there. I haven't found a bar I just love yet, but I like the Slim-Fast peanut butter meal bars well enough to keep one in my purse for emergencies. If I'm stuck out and about and have to get the kids fast food, I have a protein bar instead of junk. They're a little bland, but way more palatable than those nasty shakes. I also like the Post Carb Well peanut butter cereal bars, but I had a slight hypoglycemic reaction the last time I ate one. I don't know why--I can usually handle 5g of sugar. ---- Leslie 5'3" 282/232/135 (97 to go!)

I don't know any good ones but I do know one I wouldn't buy again. Dr. Atkin's Protien Bars leave a terrible aftertaste in your mouth and the one I had which was chocolate coconut was very very dense and my pouch didn't like it at all. Patty

I like the Atkins bars (mainly peanut butter & coconut).

Hello. I have had the Detour bars at Sam's club. Walmart carries these in several different flavors. Not bad at all. Some are not really protein bars so read the labels before buying them. Hope this helps. Barb Jones

I just found a new one at the grocer (Cub Foods) that I like a lot. It is called Momentum bars (and they are made by General Mills). They are in the section where fruit snacks and other breakfast bars are at. I love them. (especially the chocolate caramel flavor) Joy
