First off I would like to say congratulations. Remeber when you where fighting with your insurance company? Good. I am fighting with my PCP. I swithced PCP in August, 2 days before I started this journey. I asked my PCP from the start if he would support me after surgery. He said of course he would that he understands obesity is disease and that he even has a patient who had the surgery and help them get approved. So why is he acting like Dr. Jeklye and Mr. Hyde now??? Your eating wrong, You look fine, You do look like you could lose a few pounds. (a few pounds) Hey don't humor me, i'm not your wife. Just venting...I am really upset right now. My papers could be at the insurance company right now being denied right now.

Not exactly a referral, but all the reasons you should have the surgery, and the surgeon will not complete this USUALLY. But if your PCP isn't being cooperative, and s/he will be the person you will need to go to follow ups with, why not just get a new one now? This way you will feel comfortable with your PCP after the surgery, too. Your PCP is an important part of your GENERAL healt care, not just the WLS, and as such should be someone you like, trust and are able to have a good interaction with. Good luck.
