Never fully prepared!
Hello everyone, I just wanted to post and tell everyone how I am feeling. I am on an emotional rollercoaster. Some days I feel pretty good and some days I feel regrets that I had this surgery. The past 2-3 days I have had a hard time holding things down (like Lisa H) and they are not sure why. The Dr. wants me to wait 24 more hours to see if it gets any worse or better because it may just be a "bug" not the surgery. Today seems to be a little better, only because I am able to hold a little bit of water down, that is it. I can not even think about food, it makes me gag or protien drinks--yuk!! I just want to feel better. I do have HOPE that things will get better and I do beieve in what others on this web site have told me--but when you are in the moment that HOPE is hard to find. I did so much work to have this surgery done and I thought that I was fully prepared and I was, but NOBODY can be fully prepared for what goes on in the mind and how it will affect your spirit. Say a prayer for me and I will continue to say them for all of you on the WEB site. Thank you for all the kind words and I will keep everyone up to date on what happens next. I have not weighed myself in 2 weeks but the last time I did it was a loss of 37 pounds since the day of surgery in the hospital. dance:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jodi
Hey Jodi,
There are days when I am like, "WHAT THE H**L HAVE I DONE TO MY BODY?" but believe you me, it does get better. I have cried and cried and know that it is hard to look toward the end results when you are feeling bad right now. It does get better, it just takes some of us longer than others. I lost 30 lbs right off the bat and then it seemed like a plateau, thoughts have been going through my mind like am I one of the ones that this is not going to work for? I go to the dr on Monday, hopefully I have started back losing. My goal is to be below 300 for my birthday next week. Try your best to get the protein and water in.

Jodi I'm sorry you are having a bad time of it. I know how you feel been there done the tears and questions of why did I do it. When you feel bad it's easy to lose sight of why you did it.My surgery went fine my only problem with it has been some diarrhea, all my other problems were complacations Bronchitis, blood clot in my leg went to my lungs back in the hospital and now two more clots in my leg... BUT it does get better once you start getting in your protein you will start feeling better!!! Keep your chin up!!!
I'll keep you in my prayers Linda
