Yeah! I'm drain-free!

Well I went to see my surgeon yesterday. He said I was lost 32 pounds so far and that means I lost 28% of my excess body weight (whatever that means.. sounds good, though!) He said I was doing very good, except he says I need to eat more. I told him I'm only getting about 600 cals. a day and he told me I need to be getting about 1000 cals a day. Other than that, he was very happy with my progress. And the GREATEST thing that happened.. this is what motivated me to fly from Salt Lake City to Phoenix to see my surgeon... He took out my last drain!! I no longer have a tube coming outta my belly! YES! It was getting very annoying and kept oozing yucky stuff and I was so worried about accidently pulling it out.. but now it's gone, and I am so very happy. Once this hole heals up where it was, I will have no bandages or tape on my belly whatsoever, which will be a first since my surgery on Aug 31st.. Life is great!

Congratualtions Mike... I remember having that dumb drain tube in... real pain.... It gets better day by day.... Keep up the good work
