ONE-derland!!!!!
WOOHOO!!!
Today I am exactly 8 weeks out and I am below 200 lbs! WOOHOO!!!
I weighed in today at 195 lbs, baby! I am so excited!
That makes my total loss since surgery, 37 lbs! I am so thrilled.
37 lbs in 8 weeks! I am in awe. That is an average of 4.6 pounds per week! When have I ever done that with a diet??? Today I wore size 16 pants and an XL shirt in regular misses. Not women's. No 1 or 2 in front of the L!
I can not believe I am in ONE-derland. It is surreal. I honestly can not believe it. I can not believe that I weigh 195 lbs!!! I love my RNY!!!!!
I checked my BMI and guess what?? I am no longer morbidly obese. I am no longer severely obese. I am just obese!!! WOOHOOOOO!!!
Hugs!!
Denise

Thanks so much for all of your kind words! It is awesome to be able to come here and get a pat on the back like this. It really feels good!
Brandi, as far as what I eat: I eat soft proteins such as chicken, cheese, yogurt, deli ham, eggs, tofu, etc. I recently discovered turkey pepperoni and I love it! Tastes EXACTLY like regular pepperoni. You would never know the difference, I swear. I don't like the thought of turkey type products; the only turkey I like is on Thanksgiving. BUt my friend insisted I try the pepperoni and I loved it. Great protein source, too.
I am also allowed tuna and fish, but I don't eat seafood. I also have protein drinks as a suppliment. I try to get over 60 grams of protein per day. Some days are better than others.
Tonight I made a noodle-free lasagna. It was delicious! I find that I have to be creative with the foods I eat because it can get rather dull.
For the lasagna, I took part-skim ricotta cheese and beat an egg in it. I added salt, pepper, parsley, parmasean cheese and some of that Good Seasons italian dressing mix (just the dry mix).
I put that in a small baking dish and then put a thin layer of sauce (watch the sugars). On top of that, I added a generous layer of shredded mozzerella cheese, and a bit more parmasean.
I bake it in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes, then turn the heat up to 450 to get it really brown on top. Let it sit for 30 minutes after you remove it from the oven to let it set. YUM and very high in protein!!
Hugs,
Denise
