Ambien and Surgery
I was wondering does anyone take ambien to help them sleep... my doctor said I could start taking it again so I did during my first month and it took a while to work... Now when I take it if I am not in bed laying down within 10 minutes I dont remember anything.. and I do some weird things...
Just wondering if anyone else takes that...

Debra,
I have just started taking Ambien. I was given it as part of my treatment for Fibromyalgia. You are so right, must be in bed ASAP. Another thing I have noticed, I wake up 8 hours later almost to the minute. Since I am retired, there are times I just would like to sleep another hour, no way! Can't get back to sleep. My daughter also takes if for same reason. She has same effects as I. I was told it allows one to go into the deep sleep needed to rest the body. With Fibro, neither of us could get a good nights sleep due to the pain.
Hi Marla, I see we have the same surgery day... I am going to try 1/2 an ambien...even with a whole one I still wake up at 3 am and then go back to sleep till 6:30... and I am in bed by 10.... no later....
I just dont like the not remembering what I did....
How is your surgery going??? I am doing pretty good... still trying to get all my water in... that is the hardest thing for me... I do great with the protein... no problem there.. I dont drink any shakes.. I eat turkey meat and chicken... and swiss cheese low fat and I get about 80 grams of protein a day....
