My company had a "burn the mortgage" omelette breakfast this morning so I decided to try an omelette with salmon and so far I am not having any problems. I love eggs but was scared to try them because other things I loved pre-op are now intolerable (like chicken). Know any good egg recipes?

Ain't life's little pleasures great? I so understand being able to eat something and have no problems. I do egg salad some times. Nice and soft and the mayo helps anything go down better.

Our surgeon kept us on clear liquids for two weeks, and then the first meal was a soft cooked egg. Scrambled or sunny side, whatever. I had mine scrambled. After two weeks of broth, clear protein drinks, and s.f. Jello, let me tell you, that egg tasted like the nectar of the gods! He then allowed us to try any soft proteins that we wanted to, and the following week, we were on to meat and chicken if we wanted. By the fourth week, we were allowed anything we wanted, and could manage. I HEARD that a lot of people have probs with eggs, but all the people I KNOW who have had the surgery manage the eggs well.
