Surgery on 8-10? Anyone here???
Just checking in. Curious as to how everyone is getting along. I am down about 40 pounds, (I spent 2 weeks on liquid feedings and actually gained during those two weeks!)
Nothing sounds good to eat. I hate soup, jello and pudding. I'm so burned out. I tried some tuna salad and it worked but I have found out that NO red meat will go down.
Any suggestions for food ideas, etc would be welcome and let's post our weight loss!

Congrats on the weight loss. It feels good to see the scale moving doesn't it?!!!
I don't think I like ANY beans, which stinks, but maybe I could try the pintos and cheese. Maybe my tastes have changed after surgery.
I am DYING for a salad, how did your pouch handle it? Were you able to chew it up real good? I just think that lettuce seems "stringy" or something. You know what I mean?
Anyway, I guess I won't know until I try. I am just tired of opening something and eating one bite and then realizing that I don't want/like it and wasting it. My poor husband will be gaining everything I am loosing.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Tiffany ,
I had my surgery 8/10. I am down 47lbs and feeling good. I am not getting in a lot of protein still. I need to find a good protein shake or bar. I don't want to have to resort to liquid protein.
I've found I can't eat chicken or turkey. Mr. Pouchie doesn't like it. He likes beef ok though. If it's lean. I've been eating a lot of light and fit yogurt and almonds, soup, cantaloupe, mashed taters.
If you want to chat sometime, I'm usually online during the day with AOL Instant Messenger (Charisy2k) or yahoo messenger (carrie1403).
