Hi, I have this new problem. On my right side, just below rib cage, I have a sharp pain when I take a deep breath, turn the wrong way or wear something a bit tight, like waist band on pants. The pain seems to be just above the lap entrance. I have also had the same type pain on the left side, but not to the same degree. It is also near one of the lap entrances. Has anyone had the same problem? I keep thinking it is part of healing on the inside. My thought at the moment is to call the doctor's office.

Marla, Hopefully you called your surgeon to be on the safe side. I'm not having anything similar so I can't help you there. My guess is maybe pulled muscles or gas pains?!?!? please let us know what your dr. said and take care Sue i

I get alot of pains under my right rib cage, I had open though. I think it could be gas or sometimes when Im cold it seems to hurt more. I asked the Dr what it was and he said thats right where your liver is and they had to move that around for surgery so its a bit sensitive. Mine does seem to be getting alot better though. Check with the Dr. though just to make sure. Patty

Patty, I was told about the same thing. Healing on inside, scar tissue and perhaps tendinitis.

Sue, I am doing much better. Doc said it was part of healing. Scar tissue rubbing something. As for the docusate, I take 2 about every other day. Try two, see how it works for you. I have noticed, it takes about 24 hrs to work. No cramping. Good luck.
