Acid or Hunger?????

How do I tell if I have hunger pains or is that acid building up or backing up in my stomach. I am 5 weeks out and I was on Nexium for 30 days after that I started having problems with my stomach, first I thought it was constipation, then hunger, and now Im believing it may be acid indigestion. What are some symtoms for acid and what are you taking for it. My pouch woke me up at 3am hurting this morning. What can I do for this? Debbie

Deborah, I am having the same problem. Only mine goes all day. SF Tums calms it down so I am thinking it is acid. I wasnt sure if we had acid jucies in the new pouch or not. If you get some answers please email me.

Hay girl! I had the same problem and went to my doc the pain was so bad!! I told him i thought it was cuz I stoped the Nexum. then i ended going to the ER and had a CT, where I dumped from the dye and juice.Thay didnt find anything thank god. Well to make a lon story short I aM back on Nexium and no problems at all! KIM
