Ok I will be honest with you, though Im not supposed to drink I on occasion have some canadian wiskey on the rocks, crown royal. I have always drank this and at 6 months post op dont have a problem. I have not tried wine yet and I looked at the label on a daquiri mix and it had 32 grams of sugar so I didnt even attempt that. Read your labels and follow your drs orders as closely as you can. Good luck to ya!!

We were told never by the Doc - but he's to the letter of the law on everything The nutritionist said at least 4-6 weeks, preferrably longer. Keep in mind that in the past, you would eat and drink at the same time, which is no longer the case. The alcohol will be quickly absorbed and you'll be a cheap date! I haven't had any drinks yet, but I did buy some sugar free margarita and pina colada mix. It is made by Baja Bob's (?) and is available on www.bariatriceating.com Enjoy! Jen
