HI Debra, I am also going to start at Curves. My surgeons office said to wait til I was 8 weeks out before doing any exersizing at Curves. They also told me to make sure that the people at Curves know that I am a gastric by pass patient and how far out I am so that they structure my exersize routine accordingly. Good luck ... Sondra

I don't know much about curves but I was surprised that you both have to wait so long to get exercising! My surgeon said I could go the day after surgery if I felt up to it (needless to say, I didn't )!!!! Good luck to both of you!!

I had surgery on Aug. 17th and I've already signed up, but my pc told me to wait till Oct. 1st. So I will start Friday. I hope I like it because I'm signed up for a while. Raoulene

Hi, I was going to Curves pre-op and absolutely loved it! I am only 5 weeks out and won't see my Do****il October 8th. I am hoping that he'll release me then, becuase I do want to get back to my workouts. The nice thing about Curves is that if a particular station is too hard for you (i.e. - you might not be able to work the abs this early), they will show you a modification, or you can skip the station all together. They really do try to accomodate you as best they can. Good luck all! Jen
