help with hernia

if you can what does a hernia feel like I am 5 weeks post op lap rny where my insision is it just swelled up and I have stapping pain there that comes and goes it hurts real bad. I see the Dr tomorrow I had not had pain since I came home from the hospital 5 weeks ago last night it was as hard as a rock then puss came out today its all swollen in one area it hurts bad

Sounds like you have an infection... lay on your back and lift your head and shoulders up.. If the area bulges you may have a hernia... Let us know what you find out... Good luck.. Sondra

Hi I had three of my incisions that were real red and green stuff oozing out of them so I went to my Dr. It turned out I had staff and she put me on antiobiotics. They are now starting to heal but it takes at least 10 days I believe to clear up. Mine actually hurt to touch and the incisions had opened up. Definately have the Dr. look at them and hopefully culture them to see if its staff. Good Luck.
