8/30's - 4wk weigh in & updates
Alright 8/30 people it's that time again...weekly weigh-in.
I've noticed that the scale is at a standstill when I weigh myself several times a day...so, moral of the story: DONT WEIGH YOURSELF too much! You'll drive yourself insane.
Weigh in: -25lbs / 4 wks post op
I feel great; already eating solids and watching what I eat. Don't take all my protein and water, as I should, but will be trying harder Definitely feeling more human now. I was scheduled to go back to work today, but my sutures were a bit sore and a little open, so my doc decided to give me 2 more weeks.
We're almost at 1 month...congratulations to all
Hey Gang!
I had my RNY on 8-30: -34lbs/4wks
and my stomach is foaming really bad....everything I eat turns to foam in my stomach and back up it comes......only thing staying down is protein fortified pudding and apple juice/water.
I'm going back to baby foods for a bit I guess...and I'm sleeping ALOT....could I have a tummy virus or is this normal???
Thanks for support gang

I go for my 4 week check up tomorrow-in the meantime my home scale has me -25lbs. I'm sooo excited! I still can't eat solid foods yet, I tried soft foods and ooooh the pain! It got stuck right in the middle of my chest. (I think that I ate too fast.) I'm going for an endoscopy tomorrow to make sure that all is well.

Hi all you "LOSERS"...in the nicest way possible. I had surgery 8/30, and I am down 29 pounds as of today. I can eat anything, so far. I just had coffee and a English Muffin and jelly for breakfast. The only time I got sick with eating something was when I was 1 week out and had an egg and toast for breakfast.....sick all day. I tried it again the following week, and I was ok. I haven't dumped as of yet, and not sure if I will. PA at MD office said not everyone dumps. I don't know if this is a good thing or not. BUT, I also had my gall bladder removed and tend to have diarreha quite often. Maybe that is my way to dump. I am very careful with how much I consume per meal because I don't want to get sick. I am having a difficult time with the protein drinks, and find the protein bars much more appealing. Water is no problem, fortunately I like water. Because of back injuries due to a MVA this past summer, my exercise is limited, but I try to walk as much as I can when I have the pain under control.
Keep up the good work, and let's stay on the losing side, and as far as plateus, they do pass...remember that.
