gas.. lots of gas - need help

My husband and I just got home. We went through our first night uncomfortable from gas. I feel like a ballon. They gave me prevacid though the IV at the hospital. Anyone know if that is ok to take crushed at home? With Hurricane Jeanne coming in a couple hours, we need to know quick. Hope someone is out there!

I have heard alot of people take gas x to help relieve the trapped gas. Patty

Drink hot tea and walk. My doc says gas x is OK. Call your doc, if you can.

Hey there- I am new to this. I had my surgery on Aug. 9th. Nothing seemed to help with the gas except walking. I tried Mylicon (kids kind that is liquid) and I threw up. I take Nexium everyday to help with reflux, you could also take Prevacid. I hope that helps. I too am expecting Jeanne. This is our 3rd Hurricane and we need a new roof! Gotta run!

HI there, The only thing that helped me was the gas-x. The pills are soooo tiny. I took two at a time and they saved me my first few weeks after the surgery. I am sorry I dont know much about prevacid. Sorry I didnt read this earlier, it seems as if the hurricane is fixing to hit...Take care
