Has anyone dumped since surgery
I did for the first time last week. I had about a quarter-cup of quiche. I had received the recipe from someone on the main messageboard and didn't do a nutritional analysis on it, thinking since it was from a member it would be ok. I think it had too much fat in it. Boy, was I glad when I finally actually "dumped"!
Whaaaaah!
I dumped (I think) when I had a CT scan on monday!
I think it was from the dye and juice. the pain was so intence, I thought I was gonna die, almost wanted to. No pukeing just the sweats and pain, kinda felt hard to breath. I rolled around on the strecher for an hour. 3 shots of mouphne dint help. But then it lest as soon as it came on. Does this qualify as a dump? KIMW

I haven't dumped b/c i have had no carbs and no sugar since surgery. I am too scared. I have thrown up a lot though. The first month has been like a first trimester of pregnancy- the smell of scallops or tuna makes me sick.
I dumped for weeks 3-5 after surgery. (During the puree dieting because I was sometimes not putting my food in the blender.) I dumped practically everyday for 3 weeks and I thought that this was normal. Now I know better that I should not have been dumping, but it was my fault for eating regular foods during the puree stage. I can't go back and change it now, it's too late because now that yesterday was my 2 month anniversary, I'm allowed to eat regular foods and I don't dump anymore since week 5. I hope that whoever is reading this learns from my mistake. I agree with you Jacqui that it is awful. You must keep a pail or bedpan near you at all times in case you're all of a sudden going to dump!
