I went to the nutritionist this morning.. I havent weighed in two weeks.. I was hoping to be down 10 more lbs... I have only lost 4 lbs in the last two weeks... I was so bummed out... that brings my total weight loss since surgery to 22lbs. I feel like I should have done better... Sondra

I have only lost 34 since 8/9 and I too am disappointed. I have followed the diet perfectly! I love the Protein Plus Chocolate shakes and I get in 90-100 grams/day. I thought I would lose so much and I have really been bummed. I think it might also be stress related. This is my 3rd hurricane since the surgery and the stress is enormous. I started back to Curves and swim but still I fit in my old clothes. I thought they would be falling off by now. I with ya girlfriend- just hang in there!

Sondra - Just think - those pounds are gone forever! When could you honestly say that? When were were 'dieting' and floating up and down the *$*%*#&$ scale. These pounds are gone. CELEBRATE!!!!! More will come later... DRINK YOUR WATER AND GET YOUR PROTEIN. Love Barbara

This sounds silly but I think of the weight in terms of bags of potatoes. When you look at two ten pound bags of potatoes just think thats how much you lost in less than a month. Isn't that great. I went through a plateau for two weeks where I lost nothing. It is depressing when you get on the scales and they haven't moved or you feel you worked so hard and it moves just a bit but we didn't gain this weight overnight. Patty

Hi! I had the same thing happen to me. I lost 20 pounds the first two weeks and only 2 pounds the next two weeks, but I was still losing inches and I know I have lost a bunch just this past week (I get on the scale Monday). I had lost 51 pounds before surgery, and I surely didn't lose 22 pounds in one month before on any diet that I was ever on, so I was happy. That weight is gone for good, all 73 pounds of it! Try not to weigh too often and try not to compare yourself with others too much. I looked at some of the profiles of people who lost a lot the first month and they usually weighed quite a bit more than me to start with and many of them hadn't been dieting as long as I had pre-op. Sometimes your body just needs to take a rest and adjust to what is happening to it. When your body figures out that you will feed it and water it and exercise it in a healthy mannner, it will be more likely to let go of those pounds it has stored up. Hang in there! You have done great and you will continue to lose at your own rate. Good Luck! Alice
