AUG 30TH WEIGH IN
I AM ONLY DOWN 23LBS. BUT FEEL LIKE I WILL BE AT A STAND STILL ALSO. I BUSTED OPEN SOME OF THE PLACES WHERE THEY DIDNT HAVE STITCHS. PHYSICAL THEARAPIST PUT ME ON WALKING ABOUT TWENTY STEPS TWICE A DAY AND DOING OTHER EXCERSISES LAYING ON MY BED. OH I WANT TO SWIM SO BAD. LOST 187 POUNDS THAT WAY ONE TIME. BUT I WAS ABOUT 500LBS AND HAD TO HAVE MY FEET PICKED UP STEP BY STEP.
AS FOR FINDING A STOPPPING POINT. ADD SOMETHING TO YOUR EXCERSISE. IF OK WITH DOC. EVEN TWO TRIPS TO MAIL BOX A DAY WILL BURN EVEN A LITTLE MORE. GOOD LUCK.

Its that Failure mind set stuck in our heads that play games. The hardest part of this for me is the negaive self talk. I have my conshinces(sp)on each shoulder..Alil devil and a lil angel and I work real hard an only talking to my angel!!! Boy what a blabber I am today. Hope this helps, take care and give your selves a big {{{{{hug}}}}} today.I will give ya one too! KIMW
I am 6 weeks post op and have only lost 28 pounds. I have been quite upset about it as I read that some people lose that much in 2 or 3 weeks. I start to think in my "failure" mode and that I will only lose this amount (as in the past history of my weight loss). But then I come back to my senses and realize that everyone's body adjusts differently and I must be patient. I am still on insulin so I hope that as I lose more I can cut down on my insulin- which I know causes weight gain. When was your surgery? 19 pounds is much better than zero, which is what you would have lost if not for the surgery. Stay with the program and keep up the good work. Ellin
