Hi Tracy-- I am 5 weeks out now, but at 4 weeks I stopped losing weight too. It's been a week now, and I haven't lost one pound. I, too, am hoping this is normal. I have, however, lost inches ... lots of inches! Hope the same for you! Karen

Hey Tracy, I didn't lose ANY weight in my third and fourth weeks post-op. But, it slowly but surely has started coming off again since then. Keep up the good work! Dawn

I barely lost anything at 3-4 weeks - I actually gained (?!?!?!?) 4lbs during week 4!!!!!!!!!!! I rode it out (with a few emotional outbursts) and lost it last week....This week the weight starting falling off again. From week 4-6 I've lost 12lbs (this includes the 4 I gained). So, be patient, try and stay off the scale. Your body is going thru 'hibernation syndrome'. It's so used to getting a lot more calories and when that stopped your body said 'Whoa! I need to slow the metabolism down..I must be starving!'. Once your body realizes (usually 2-3 weeks) that it won't be getting the same amount of calories as it did pre-op it will realize that it needs to use it's fat stores. Take care, Nicole

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this strand. I was beginning to think it was just me! I lost 16 pounds in the first two weeks, but then only a pound in week 3. I am 4 weeks out as of yesterday and I feel exactly the same. Some clothes are loose - I know I lost inches and my butt is smaller, but I was getting very discouraged. Hopefully we'll all move past this stage quickly and have a great deal of success! Jen

Don't even worry....I did so much that I got sick! LOL! I lost from weeks one and two, nothing in three, lost in 4, nothing in 5, lost in 6...weird, huh? I am thinking it will come off...sooner or later! Keep your chin up!

And I thought I was the only one! Last week I gained! I do step on the scale every morning. Perhaps should not, but do. I know my not loosing is due to not walking enough. When I get my walking in and my protein, I keep a steady lose going.
