I am 5 weeks out and am finding I can eat an entire piece of baked fish and even 2 to 3 pieces of a skinless potato(like those red potatoes that are cut up) without feeling like I am stuffed.I just feel satisfied. Am I the only one having this issue? I can also drink like 10 oz of water in thirty min. and I don''t feel much of anything unless I stand up. I am losing weight at a good pace, I am just afraid that I will be able to eat more normal to quickly and somehow sabotage my weight loss.

I find some days I can eat more than others. I don't have that full or hungry feeling back yet. I can also drink my water pretty fast but I cant seem to get it all in yet. I could at the beginning but since the flu Ive had problems with water hurting my pouch. That seems to be clearing up now. Make sure you measure your foods and get your protien in and you should be fine. Patty

I have the same problem. I keep wondering if I am going to be the only one who this surgery wont work for. I can eat a full frozen dinner, and 2 hours later eat again. I eat puffed wheat like I used to eat potatoe chips. I never get that nausea or full feeling. I drink faster then I think I should, and I eat fast, so I dont know what the problem is. Someone told me to have an MRI and see if my pouch is bigger then it should be, but I said why, I am not going back into surgery, so I will just be told to count calories, and exercise! So, I try to make correct choices, and if I lose slower, so be it. Maybe we will be lucky, and still lose like everyone else. Good luck. Sue

Susan, One way to check out the size of your pouch is to measure regular cottage cheese in ounces and eat one ounce at a time until you actually feel "full." They say that eating the cottage cheese sticks in your pouch and it is a good way to measure your pouch as the months go along. Good luck! Karen

I can't eat much at all. I measure everything with 1/4 and most times I can't fini**** I can drink my water really fast and have no problems getting it all in for the day. I do get the stuffed feeling and sometimes get sick after eating. I have lost 30 lbs in 5 weeks

Heather, I am the same as you. If I can get 3 bites in at a "meal" I'm doing good. I don't think I consume 100 calories a day. What is saving me is the one and only protein drink I can tolerate. I mix Unjury unflavored with Crystal Light Orange and a couple other flavors I can stomach. It is about the only thing that goes down and stays down and doesn't leave me feeling awful. 99% of food makes me sick and nauseous. I have ketosis breath so bad, my family won't come near me. Breath mints do even come close to helping. I used to drink 2 liters of water a day....never a problem. Now it is so difficult to get in 20 oz. no matter how hard I try. I'm down 42 lbs in 5 weeks out. Not sure if the loss is fat or muscle. I'm extremely weak though and don't get much help from my surgeon. Just a suggestion though......if you haven't, try the crystal lite with the Unjury protein powder. Good luck!! ....Cindy

Early in the day I can eat OK. This morning I had peanut butter toast and now I am drinking a protein shake but after 4 or so, unless it is yogurt or ricotta or jello or soup, it is coning back up. I can drink water and other bevies all day. I am down 40 pounds in 5 weeks. June
