HELP FIRST SIGNS OF DUMPING ??
HELLO I'M THREE WEEKS OUT TODAY ,AND THIS IS THE FIRST PROBLEM I AM HAVING. I ATE TWO BITES OF BAKED BEANS AND THREE BITES OF CUBE STEAK,WHIKE I WAS TALKING ON THE PHONE[THAT WAS A NO NO] I FEEL LIKE HEAVEY BETWEEN MY BREAST AND KIND OF IN MY THROAT .I FELT A LITTLE SICK. I HAVE NOT THREW UP. BUT I FEEL THE PLEM IN MY MOUTH GETTING THICK LIKE I WANT TO SPIT. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO IF YOU EAT TO FAST OR GET SOMETHING STUCK. THANKS SO MUCH
BASICALLY THERES NOTHING I FOUND THAT HELPS EXCEPT TO GET IN A QUIET PLACE, AND SIT UPRIGHT TO HELP FACILITATE DIGESTION.I PRAYED TO AND IT WOULDN'T COME.........I'VE DONE IT (ATE TOO FAST) A COUPLE OF TIMES AND I'VE LEARNED.....NO TV, NO READING....NO DISTRACTIONS..WHEN I'M EATING..AND ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M EATING MEAT. YOU SHOULD ALSO WATCH OUT FOR HIDDEN SUGAR.....THE SUGAR CONTENT IN THE BEANS WOULD HAVE DONE IT FOR ME....THERES NOTHING WORSE THAN NEEDING TO BARF AND CAN'T.
Hi Tracy,
UGH! I soooo know that feeling!!! I know I wished I could just vomit, but no such luck. It always happens if I eat to much or too fast. If something gets stuck, you'll know by tomorrow when you go to eat again (or so I hear). If everything you eat ends up getting thrown up, then there's a strong possibility you've got a blockage. But in all likelihood, it was just eaten too fast and will pass in time.
Good luck, and hope you're feeling better!

Hi, You said you were eating cube steak. It's much too early to eat steak. You should only be eating, chicken, turkey, fish, no shellfish. Stay away from gas producing foods, like baked beans. I'm 4 weeks out and I know what you're talking about eating too fast. It's something to get used to isn't it? Take a full 25-30 mins to eat. I eat ground chop meat now as well as eggs, soft cheese, etc. I hope I've helped you. Good Luck! Patti Delso
Hi,I'm 3 weeks out also and the #1 most important rule I can give
to you from my own personal experience is to not drink and eat
at the same time! Whenever I do that's when I get the pains in
my chest, back and throat! But when it happens stay calm and go
somewhere and try to cough it out (which may also produce a
little "froth") you may even vomit and that will make you feel
alot better faster.
If you notice this becomming a pattern you may wanna call your
doctor to see if your esphogus needs to be dilated (which is an
outpatient surgery). hope I helped!
This happened once to me too. I was in so much pain from the heartburn, that I forced myself to vomit. The funny thing (to me, anyway), was that I was expecting to vomit like the old days, but it was smaller than a baby's vomit. I felt tremendous and immediate relief once I did it, and I haven't eaten any tuna fish since.
Good luck!

I agree with you! My first two weeks were great, no nausea and no throwing up. Then it hit me and I usually throw up every 3-4 days. I tend to vomit about 8 times b/c the smell just makes me sick. I hate that feeling of my esophagus being squeezed and that is my clue to make it to a bathroom and fast. I pat myself on the back to try and get a burp up and then I pray! I think I throw up b/c I eat too fast or I am anxious inside. Take care
