Hi All~ I just hit my six week anniversary yesterday and was thinking about all of the "learning experiences" that I have had in those six weeks and what foods I am eating. I was wondering what all of you are eating at this point and how you are doing? I have eaten tuna, cottage cheese, cheese sticks, cantaloupe, pollack, enchiladas minus the tortillas, chicken, veg. beef soup, chili, eggs, corned beef hash, and pinto beans. I have gotten three times and have learned from each of those experiences!! I walk and play with my nine month old rottie and also go to Curves. I have lost 48 pounds and am already feeling SO much better than I did preop! Please let me hear how you are doing, we gotta stick together!!!! Blessings, Rachel T.

Im just over 5 weeks out and not doing too bad other than with the drinking, water or other cold drinks really bother my pouch so now Im a tea tottler. I eat cheese sticks, all kinds of soups, eggs, chilli, luncheon meats, have had a bit of pasta, mashed potatoes. I got sick once from an egg and once from tuna. I have lost 40 pounds and I am finally starting to be able to feel it. Best wishes Patty

Hi, I just hit my six weeks on 8/3/04 and so far the only time I got sick and it was really bad was I hadn't eaten and stopped at a deli and got some chicken salad a small scoop, of course couldnt eat it all and before I left there I knew I was going to be sick... I have had tuna, chicken, hamburger meat, peach, spinach salad, avacado, beans, eggs, omlete, enchiladas minus the tortillas of course... my husband and I go out to eat and of course I never order a plate I just have some of his.... I am a cheap date now... When I do start craving something sweet I found some Murrays sugar free cookies and eat one or two... Good Luck everyone in August.... Debra

Hey Rachel, I had my surgery the day before you... I have eaten: chicken, chicken salad, a bite or two of whole wheat bread, tomatoe, MILD salsa, tortilla chips, refried beans, mozzarella sticks, spaghetti sauce w/cottage cheese, veg. beef soup, chicken strip, chicken fajita meat, a bite of a hamburger (doesn't taste the same anymore), peanut butter, crackers, sugar free cookies, low-carb ice cream bars, chili, mashed potatoes, etc. Mostly I find that I have a craving for old foods until I try them. Then once I've tried them I don't have any desire for them! I was a big beef eater before and not too big on chicken. Now about all I eat is chicken, and I love it! I've been released to eat anything I want to try now, but food just doesn't get me going like it used to! That's a good thing! Congrats on the weightloss! I need to get exercising regularily!!!!!! I'm BAD about that! Dawn

Hi! I am also 6 weeks out. I am eating pretty much anything I want: within reason: such as chicken, all full liquids, eggs, hamburger (don't like very much anymore), turkey (I love this)! , lunch meats, crackers, cereal, beans, veggies, etc. I try to get most of my protein with meats and that way I don't have to drink so much of the nasty protein shakes! I am 35lbs down and haven't really been able to walk and exercise like I want to. I do play ALOT with my 2 year old and feel so much better than before. I had 2 set backs early on after surgery and just now am starting to feel 100%. This is the best thing I have ever done and I can't wait to compair pictures from before surgery! I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well and things are going good. Us August loosers must stick together!!!! Take care!!!
